Simonsen Vogt Wiig launches public procurement application built in leading no-code automation platform, Neota Logic

Leading Norwegian law firm, Simonsen Vogt Wiig, announced today the release of a new public procurement calculator application built in Neota Logic’s no-code platform.

Through legal technology consultants, Transform Data, Simonsen Vogt Wiig recognised the importance of choosing a rapid no-code development platform to build its complex application: one which provides functionalities such as the ability to provide legal expertise through procurement-specific formulae to access the risk involved in the procurement process.

Christian Bjørtoft Ellingsen commented, “The app allows contracting authorities and suppliers to assess evaluation methods in public procurements. Contracting authorities can use the app to ensure that the evaluation method reflects its willingness to pay for various qualitative criteria and that no award criteria have been assigned a disproportionate weight. The application also allows parties to combine this information to subsequently assess the impact of different evaluation methods in procurement competitions. Provided that the contracting authority discloses information about the evaluation method, suppliers can use the app to better understand how to adapt their offers so as to increase the chance of being awarded the contract”.

Peter van Dam, Chief Digital Officer at Simonsen Vogt Wiig says that “this app is part of the chosen digital strategy to add value for customers and the market by digitising and productising legal knowledge. In other words, customers can already do some basic legal work without having to call a lawyer”.

The application simplifies the process for clients through a form-based interface, with fields related to award criteria and the weighting of these criteria.

Kim Massana, CEO at Neota Logic, commented ‘Our mission is to empower professionals to rapidly build digital solutions by combining expertise, process and document automation in one platform. We’re delighted to work with such an innovative firm in streamlining the delivery of their legal expertise surrounding public procurement into one convenient application’.
