This post is the fifth and final part of our series about the new Workbench, a re-imagining of our Workbench interface that helps clients streamline and more efficiently develop and deploy Neota Logic apps.

In this post, we will discuss the feature of saving Versions of your application.

When you are finished developing the first release of your app in Neota Logic, you may want to publish your app and continue working on the next release. Before Versions, you would need to maintain two copies of your app – one for production, and the other for development. The two copies would carry different URLs.

Now with Versions, you can publish your app so that your intended users can access it, and you can keep developing. You no longer need to make a copy of your app, and there is only one URL.

To create a Version, go to the Applications List in the new Workbench. Click the name of your application, then click Versions in the left navigation pane. From the Versions page, click the one-button interface to create a new Version:

In the popup window that launches, select the Version number and the Restore Point from which you want to create a new Version. A Restore Point is required to create a Version in Neota Logic:

The last step is to make this Version the default Version of your app. By labeling a default Version, you can run the app from the Applications List while continuing to develop your application as a draft. Users can still access the app from the normal URL.

On the Versions page, click the flag icon on the same row as the version you want to change:

You have now made this version the default version of your application:

Finally, return to the Applications List, and run this version by clicking Run. You can run the development version of your application by clicking Run draft:

This post concludes our series about the new Workbench in Neota Logic, in which we covered the one-button interface, application sharing, inviting new users, creating Restore Points, and finally, saving Versions.
